Sue's Chocolate Poo

This makes a great dessert for those with little time on their hands. The result is a very chocolatey pudding that is great served alone or with vanilla ice cream.

Preparation time: 5 mins
Cooking time:
- Oven: 35-40 mins @ 180C or 305F or gas mark 4
- Microwave: 10 mins on full power (800w)
Serves: 4

Ingredients

For the pudding

  • 100g self raising flour
  • 100g soft margarine
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • 2 eggs, beaten

For the Sauce

  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp cocoa
  • ¾ pt boiling water
  • Demerara sugar (to sprinkle over the top)

You will also need

  • A large bowl
  • A hand whisk or electric food processor

Method

Put all the pudding ingredients into a large bowl and process until well blended. Spoon into a greased 2 pint ovenproof (or microwave) dish and smooth with the back of a spoon.

Blend the brown sugar and cocoa with a fork and sprinkle over the pudding mixture along with the Demerara sugar. Gently pour on the boiling water in a circular movement.

Either: place the dish on a baking sheet in the oven for 35-40 minutes at 180, 350F, gas mark 4.
Or: Microwave for 10 mins on full power (800w).

Serve straight from the dish.
